Soludo: Anambra Has Not Borrowed Since He Became Governor

Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo stated that his administration has not borrowed any money since he assumed office. He made this declaration on Monday during the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit.

Soludo, who previously served as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, asserted that the Nigerian economy is stabilizing and beginning to recover. He emphasized that prudent management of public resources can enable state governments to achieve development without incurring unsustainable debts.

Soludo urged Nigerians to support locally manufactured products, warning that reliance on imports hinders job creation. He estimated that if all 247 million Nigerians exclusively wore made-in-Nigeria clothing, over 10 million jobs could be generated.

Soludo has consistently advocated for the promotion of locally manufactured products, particularly textiles, to bolster domestic industries and employment opportunities.
