Datti Baba-Ahmed Joins PRP to Tackle Nigeria's Challenges

Datti Baba-Ahmed, who previously served as the vice-presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, has officially joined the People's Redemption Party (PRP). He stated that his decision was motivated by a desire to address Nigeria's pressing issues rather than to seek a presidential ticket for the 2027 elections.

During the unveiling of the PRP headquarters in Abuja, Baba-Ahmed highlighted the need for capable leadership to tackle Nigeria's challenges and criticized the current political landscape. He expressed concerns about electoral integrity, warning against the potential for irregularities in future elections.

Baba-Ahmed also mentioned the importance of forming alliances to strengthen the opposition against the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu. He previously resigned from the Labour Party due to internal disagreements and emphasized that the PRP aims to produce a government that reflects the will of the Nigerian people.
