I left Mavin Records prematurely – Reekado Banks admits

Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has confessed that he left Mavin Records prematurely, the label where he shot to fame. Banks gained recognition after being signed to Mavin Records and winning the Rookie of the Year at the Headies in 2014, followed by the controversial Next Rated award in 2015.

In a recent interview with reality star Teddy Echoo Room, Banks revealed that he realized his exit from Mavin was premature as he started handling his music business. He clarified that his departure was not due to a disagreement but rather because his contract had ended after two years, and he decided to take a bold step by leaving instead of renewing it.

Banks admitted that he was fixated on what he wanted and thought he could embark on a new journey, even though many viewed his decision as premature.
