Aide Denies Calling Tinubu a Drug Lord Amid Controversy

Daniel Bwala, a media aide to President Bola Tinubu, has publicly clarified that he never labeled Tinubu as a drug lord, countering claims that emerged during the 2023 presidential campaign. In an interview with Symfoni TV, Bwala described the allegations as false and emphasized that they do not reflect his position.

He explained that while he worked with Atiku Abubakar during the election, he maintained a clear stance against using derogatory names in political discourse. Bwala sought to address the controversy surrounding his earlier statements, asserting that his intent was not to promote damaging narratives but to ensure public concerns were properly addressed.

He noted that individuals within the opposition often used strong controversial language, which he deliberately distanced himself from. Bwala urged the public to focus on issues rather than misinterpret his comments, maintaining that he did not endorse any derogatory claims throughout the campaign.
