Mbappe Shows Support for Ceuta and Migrants Before Match

Kylian Mbappe, a forward for Real Madrid, publicly expressed his solidarity with Ceuta and migrants during a pre-match event before a game against Elche. He, along with teammates Vinicius Junior and Ibrahima Konate, partially covered T-shirts that read “Todos somos Caballas” (“We are all Caballas”), a phrase supporting the people of Ceuta.

Mbappe stated, “I stand in full solidarity with Ceuta and with all the victims,” highlighting his concern for migrants who have suffered, particularly after over 100 deaths during a large-scale crossing from Morocco into Ceuta in July. He emphasized that he supports the people of Ceuta “100%” but also wanted to acknowledge the plight of migrants living in harsh conditions.

This gesture follows previous support from Real Madrid for Ceuta, including a tribute during a Champions League match against Inter Milan. The situation in Ceuta remains tense, with thousands of migrants still in the territory and local unrest regarding their presence.
