Kwara Teen Claims Torture by Police Over Brother's Case

Esther Aransiola, a teenager from Kwara State, reported being detained and tortured by police after she refused romantic advances from an officer named Jimoh. The incident occurred when police officers visited her home to search for her brother, Timothi Aransiola, who was wanted in connection with a theft case.

Esther claims that after failing to find her brother, she was taken into custody, where the situation escalated into abuse. She alleges that during her detention, she was beaten, confined to a cell, and pressured to disclose her brother's location under threat of imprisonment.

Despite her pleas for release, she remained locked up, suffering from isolation and mistreatment. The Kwara State Police Command has not publicly responded to her allegations.

Esther's case has raised significant public concern regarding police conduct and human rights violations in Nigeria.
