Minor Arrested for Aiding Brother's Escape in Kwara

The police in Arandun, Irepodun Local Government Area, apprehended a minor, Esther Aransiola, for allegedly assisting her brother, Timothi Aransiola, in evading capture following his identification as the prime suspect in a housebreaking theft. The incident was reported to the Arandun Police Division, leading to an investigation that revealed Timothi, aged 19, had fled shortly after the complaint was lodged.

Police spokeswoman Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi confirmed the arrest of Esther, stating that she played a role in helping her brother escape. Esther has been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation to determine the extent of her involvement.

Following standard procedures, a statement was obtained during her interrogation, and she was subsequently released to a guardian on bond. The inquiry into the matter remains active, and police operations have intensified to track down the fleeing suspect.
