Bauchi PDP Candidate Adamu Usman Challenges Successor Plan

Adamu Usman, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, has stated his intention to prevent Governor Bala Mohammed from successfully installing a successor. Speaking to journalists in Abuja, Usman expressed confidence that the opposition would win the next gubernatorial election, highlighting the historical context of Bauchi voters making independent political choices.

He noted that no governor in the state has successfully installed a successor, which he believes gives the opposition a strong chance. Usman pointed out the recent departure of Bala Mohammed from the PDP to the Allied People's Movement (APM) and the divisions emerging within the party.

He emphasized that the political environment is changing, with more parties contesting than in previous elections, which he sees as advantageous for the PDP. Usman pledged to focus on reducing unemployment and job creation as top priorities for his administration, aiming to improve the livelihoods of young people across the state.
