PDP Candidate Odii Defends Against Cyberbullying Allegations

Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Ebonyi State, stated on Tuesday that he will continue to criticize the Ebonyi government where necessary. This declaration came in response to allegations made by Chinedu Ogah, a member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, who accused Odii of sponsoring a cyberbullying campaign against the state government led by Governor Nwifuru.

Odii described Ogah's claims as baseless and an attempt to criminalize legitimate criticism. He emphasized that citizens have the constitutional right to demand accountability from public officials and that questioning government performance should not be misconstrued as cyberbullying.

Odii also denied any influence over the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding voter registration and called Ogah's accusations reckless and defamatory. He pledged to continue advocating for transparency and accountability in governance, asserting that opposition is a vital feature of democracy.
