Babachir Lawal Rejects Atiku Abubakar's Political Maneuvers

Babachir Lawal, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, publicly declared his refusal to join Atiku Abubakar's political efforts, which he described as a "rigging machine." Lawal made this announcement via a Facebook post, stating that he would not be part of Abubakar's strategy for the 2027 general elections. He criticized the recent primaries of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alleging that they were manipulated to favor Abubakar, whom he likened to a bandit kingpin known as Kachalla.

Lawal expressed his intention to focus on farming and consulting rather than engaging in political activities that he believes compromise electoral integrity. He emphasized that he would not support a system that could potentially grant Bola Tinubu an automatic ticket for a second term as president, which he described as a "nightmare.".
