Fayose Vows to Deliver as REA Chairman Under Tinubu

Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) by President Bola Tinubu on July 20. In his first public statement since the announcement, Fayose expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity, emphasizing his commitment to not disappoint the President in his new role.

He highlighted the importance of the agency's mandate in improving rural electrification and contributing to grassroots development across Nigeria. Fayose mentioned that the board has not yet been inaugurated, indicating that it would be premature to outline specific policy directions until the members officially assume office.

He stated, “We will do our very best, and, by the grace of God, we will not let the President down,” and acknowledged the privilege of serving in a position that directly impacts the grassroots.
