Tinubu Appoints Fayose as REA Chair Among 26 New Roles

President Bola Tinubu announced 26 new appointments to various federal government agencies on Monday, including Ayodele Fayose as the Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Strategic Communications.

Major General Junaid Bindawa (rtd) was appointed as the Chairman of the National Salaries Income and Wages Commission. Other appointments include Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta as members of the REA board, with Abba Abubakar Aliyu remaining as the Executive Director.

The National Salaries Income and Wages Commission also saw the appointment of Olajumok Okoya-Thomas as Secretary, alongside Dr. Ogbol and Lilian Oladel.

Additionally, Dr. Mai Adamu Yau was appointed to the commission representing Borno, and Ginika Florence for Enugu.

Other appointments included Dr. Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company and Julius Oloro as the new CEO of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization.
