Liman Declares: No Stepping Down for APC Guber Race

Hassan Liman, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial ticket in Nasarawa State, stated during an interview at the APC state secretariat in Lafia that he will not step down for any other candidate. Liman asserted that the issue of stepping down does not arise, as all aspirants have the constitutional right to contest in the primaries.

He dismissed claims of division within the APC, referencing past primaries in 2018 when multiple candidates, including current Governor Abdullahi Sule, contested. Liman noted that seven aspirants have purchased forms to run, arguing that the number of candidates does not necessarily lead to a split in votes.

He expressed confidence in the party's integrity and the right of all aspirants to compete. Governor Abdullahi Sule, who previously declared his intention to run for the Senate, has been accused of interfering in the gubernatorial race, but Liman maintained that the party remains united.
