Nasarawa Governorship Aspirant Liman Refuses to Withdraw

Hassan Liman, a senior advocate in Nigeria and a governorship aspirant for Nasarawa State, declared he will not step down from the race despite being approached by stakeholders, including Governor Abdullahi Sule, to support a preferred candidate for the governorship primaries. Liman responded to inquiries from journalists regarding the possibility of withdrawing, stating that he believes every aspirant has the right to contest.

He emphasized that the All Progressives Congress (APC) must ensure a free, fair, and credible primary election scheduled for Thursday. Liman reassured that his team would adhere to the party's laid-down procedures to guarantee a peaceful and seamless process.

He also noted that there is no division within the party and that every member has the constitutional right to express their preference for a successor. Liman firmly stated that he will not step down, reinforcing that the issue of withdrawal is not even on the table.
