Haruna Stands Firm in Nasarawa APC Governorship Race

Haruna, the former executive vice chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has publicly rejected pressure to step down from the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State. His declaration comes amid reports that Ahmadu Aliyu Wadada is backing current Governor Abdullahi Sule as a preferred successor.

Haruna stated that he will not withdraw from the race, emphasizing the importance of stakeholder consultations and the need for collective decision-making within the party. He highlighted the significance of internal democracy and his commitment to the APC's rules.

Haruna also dismissed claims regarding his potential withdrawal as unjustified, reaffirming his dedication to the electoral process and the party's future. He received unanimous support from stakeholders across the three senatorial zones in Nasarawa, who urged him to remain in the race, citing his track record and contributions to public service.
