Prof. Haruna Prioritizes Service Over Fame in Politics

Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna, a governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, declared that his political ambitions are driven by a desire to serve rather than seek fame, stating that if he wanted fame, he would have pursued a Nobel Prize.

Haruna, a former Chief Executive of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), made these remarks during a symposium organized to honor political associates in Keffi, Nasarawa State, on Tuesday. He emphasized the importance of peace and unity as foundational principles for his administration, noting the state's diverse strengths and the need to embrace industrialization to move away from dependence on raw materials.

Haruna pledged to sustain ongoing infrastructure projects, expand industries, and create job opportunities to empower the youth and drive economic growth. Dr.

Abubakar Salisu Maikasuwa, a former Clerk of the National Assembly, also spoke at the event, calling for credible elections as a cornerstone for sustainable development.
