Ibadan Indigenes Warn Fayose Over Ladoja Removal Claims

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, represented by President General Ajeniyi Ajewol, has issued a statement cautioning former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose regarding his claims of a plot to remove Olubadan Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja. The council labeled Fayose's remarks as unfounded and potentially inciting unrest within Ibadanland.

Ajewol expressed deep concern over what he termed a reckless interference in local affairs, warning that such statements could create unnecessary tension in a city known for its respect for traditional order. He emphasized that the Ibadan people are committed to preserving their traditional institutions and urged political leaders to exercise caution in their public statements.

The council also clarified that there is no rift between Governor Seyi Makinde and the Olubadan, dismissing any speculation regarding plans to remove the monarch as unfounded.
