Fayose Accuses Makinde of Plotting Olubadan's Removal

Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, has renewed allegations that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is plotting to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, despite denials from the state government. Fayose made these claims via a post on his official social media account, suggesting that there is a broader plan to justify actions against the Olubadan.

He referenced recent accusations against the monarch as part of this alleged scheme. In response, the Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Gbenga Oyekola, distanced himself from any plans to impeach the governor, asserting that he is committed to maintaining peace and unity in Oyo State.

Oyekola emphasized that he does not engage in activities that could destabilize the state. The Oyo State government, through its spokesperson, has labeled Fayose's claims as baseless and politically motivated, asserting that there is no rift between the governor and the Olubadan.
