Ibas Ends Emergency Rule in Rivers State with Call for Peace and Unity

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Ibas (rtd), concluded his six-month emergency rule with a thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt. In his address, Ibas emphasized the importance of peace and reconciliation in the state to prevent further division and acrimony.

He called for unity and understanding among all stakeholders to foster a peaceful transition. The farewell service marked the end of Ibas' tenure, which began following the declaration of a state of emergency due to political tensions.

While thanking President Bola Tinubu for appointing him, Ibas highlighted the need for political stability and cooperation in Rivers State to avoid further turmoil.
