Rivers State Administrator Faces Scrutiny Over Financial Management

Following the end of the emergency rule in Rivers State, the tenure of the Sole Administrator, Ibas, is under scrutiny for financial accountability. The Rivers State House of Assembly is seeking to hold Ibas accountable for the management of funds during the emergency rule period, which saw significant financial allocations.

The state reportedly received N150 billion in Internally Generated Revenue and N300 billion in suspended funds. The Senate approved a budget take of N22 billion during this period.
