Prof. Gbenga Ibileye Inaugurated as FUL Vice Chancellor

On Monday, Prof. Gbenga Ibileye was inaugurated as the 4th Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).

He pledged to preserve the achievements of his predecessor and emphasized the importance of discipline and restraint in leadership. Prof.

Ibileye acknowledged the challenges faced by the university and the need to carry forward the legacy of past administrations. He highlighted the institution's history, which began with modest structures and has evolved through resilience and hard work.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Council, Prof. Zubairu Abdallah, praised the immediate past Vice Chancellor, Prof.

Olayemi Akinwumi, for his respectful leadership and urged the new Vice Chancellor to involve everyone in governance to achieve institutional goals. Prof.

Ibileye, a pioneer staff member of FUL, has three decades of service within the Nigerian university system and aims to foster a harmonious relationship among students and staff.
