FUOYE's New VC Unveils Reform Agenda for Academic Excellence

Professor Joshua Ogunwole assumed office as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) and pledged to implement comprehensive reforms to strengthen governance, discipline, and academic standards at the institution. He highlighted the urgent need for structural and administrative reforms to sustain the university's rapid growth.

Ogunwole emphasized the importance of a cultural shift towards decentralization and a technology-driven approach to education. The Chairman of the Governing Council, Victor Ndoma Egba, and former VC of the University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Olayinka, commended Ogunwole's reform agenda.

Ogunwole's vision includes digitizing processes, improving teaching methods, and enhancing the university's business model for agility and growth. The new VC aims to boost revenue through agro-allied ventures and transform FUOYE into a globally competitive institution.
