IBWU and Kemi Irinoye Foundation Launch Cleanest School Initiative

The IBWU (International Black Women United) and the Kemi Irinoye Foundation (KIF) have launched the 'Cleanest School in Ibadan 2026' initiative aimed at transforming hygiene and civic responsibility among secondary school students across Ibadan. The initiative will engage schools in a structured competition designed to encourage clean and sustainable learning environments.

Schools will be evaluated based on criteria including cleanliness, creativity, teamwork, and sustainability. A grand prize of 1 million naira will be awarded to the cleanest school, along with cash rewards for second, third, and fourth places, and scholarship awards.

The initiative is set to span multiple phases and will involve collaboration with the Oyo State Ministry of Education and relevant government agencies. A formal memorandum of understanding will be signed in March 2026.

The program aims to establish long-term behavior change and promote environmental responsibility among students.
