ICGS Alumni Aim to Raise ₦100m for New Building

The alumni of Igbotako Community Grammar School (ICGS) in Ondo State have launched a fundraising initiative targeting ₦100 million to construct an ultra-modern administrative building. This effort is part of the school's 50th anniversary celebrations, scheduled for September 5, 2026.

During a press briefing, Alaba Akinwotu, the president of the old students' association, emphasized that the golden jubilee serves as an opportunity for alumni to reflect and give back to their alma mater. Ayo Oladapo, chairman of the planning committee, noted that the anniversary program aims to strengthen the bond between former and current students while promoting sustainable development within the institution.

The initiative seeks to create a hub for innovation and excellence, encouraging partnerships with government, corporate organizations, foundations, and philanthropists globally. The anniversary celebrations will include various activities, such as a health walk, public lectures, career counseling sessions, and a fundraising gala to honor distinguished alumni.
