ICPC to Arraign El-Rufa’i on Corruption Charges March 2026

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is preparing to arraign former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i and Joel Adoga on multiple charges. The arraignment is scheduled for March 23, 2026, at the Federal High Court in Kaduna.

The charges against El-Rufa’i include possession of public property, money laundering, and abuse of office, among others. A separate case has also been filed against him and Amadu Sule Leda at the Kaduna State High Court, which includes charges of fraud and intent to confer undue advantage.

The ICPC issued a statement on March 18, 2026, confirming these developments and emphasizing its commitment to adhering to due process and the rule of law throughout the proceedings.
