ICPC Monitors N4.6bn Projects in Zamfara for Accountability

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is currently tracking 35 federal government projects in Zamfara State, valued at N4.6 billion. This tracking exercise is led by Dr.

Murtala Bankano, who made a statement to newsmen in Gusau on Saturday. The primary aim of this initiative is to ensure value for money and the effective implementation of these projects.

The projects span six sectors, including education, health, water resources, power, agriculture, and empowerment. Dr.

Bankano emphasized the importance of maintaining these projects, particularly those that are incomplete or faulty, and urged contractors to return to the sites to complete their work. This project tracking initiative is a collaborative effort with the Budget Office and the National Institute of Quantity Surveyors, aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in project implementation.
