ICWAE-COPESA Initiatives Blueprint Launched in Nigeria

The ICWAE-COPESA initiatives blueprint for 2026 to 2030 was launched in Nigeria, connecting three states—Nasarawa, Anambra, and Ekiti—via live Zoom coverage. The event was coordinated by attorney Yvelin Dalmaci, President and Founder of the International Caribbean Women Alliance (ICWA).

It featured motivational lectures and discussions centered on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly focusing on gender rights and empowerment opportunities. Key participants included Dr.

Jean Palem Mathurin, co-founder of ICWA, and Dr. Iren Figaro, ICWA Board Secretary.

The blueprint aims to implement projects benefiting mothers, widows, children, and people living with disabilities, advocating for gender-based empowerment opportunities primarily for women and children. The event was hosted by Amb.

Oladejo and attended by representatives from various nonprofit organizations, including the Rise Foundation and Islamic Relief Foundation. Notable dignitaries included Hajia Halima Hudu Abubakar and Mr.

Olatunji Amondi, Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor.
