Oluwo of Iwo Declares Idol-Free Palaces Superior

Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, declared that palaces free of idols hold greater divine authority than mosques, churches, and shrines, referring to them as the true stools of God on earth. In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, on Wednesday, he condemned the presence of idols in the palaces of traditional rulers, labeling kings who promote idol worship as ignorant of their true roles.

He advocated for a holistic approach to kingship and the restoration of its glory by correcting past mistakes of sharing God's exclusive rights with deities. The Oluwo emphasized that he was enthroned to educate Yoruba kings on proper traditional practices.

He stated that while palaces should not house deities, these idols could be preserved in shrines or museums. He warned that opposing the concept of idol-free palaces would lead to dire consequences, asserting that true kingship is more spiritual than many realize.
