Nigerian Rapper Jeriq Credits Music for Keeping Him Out of Prison

Nigerian rapper Jeriq, born Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, revealed in an interview that music saved him from a life of crime, stating that without music, he might have ended up in prison. He shared his experiences of being arrested multiple times by law enforcement agencies for various offenses.

Jeriq highlighted how music served as a distraction from negative influences and vices, especially during his early career struggles in Lagos. He expressed confidence in gaining international recognition for rapping in his native Igbo language.
