Ndume: Nigeria Can End Insecurity in Six Months

In a recent interview on Channel Television's political program, Ali Ndume, the Senator representing Borno South, expressed that Nigeria could eradicate insecurity within six months if the President, Bola Tinubu, and the Federal Government are committed to taking decisive actions. Ndume emphasized the need for the government to train and equip soldiers adequately, provide them with the necessary arms, and motivate them to combat the growing threats posed by terrorists and bandits.

He lamented the current state of insecurity, which he described as alarming, and criticized the government's handling of the situation, stating that it can no longer be treated with leniency. Ndume called for a more robust approach to security, including enhancing intelligence capabilities and utilizing specialized expertise, rather than relying on external forces.

He highlighted that Borno State has suffered significant devastation due to insecurity and urged for immediate intervention.
