Ronke Oshodi-Oke: Political Support for Survival Only

Veteran actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke disclosed during an appearance on the digital talk show Africa A-List that any future support she provides to politicians should be viewed as a matter of personal survival rather than genuine political loyalty. She emphasized that if she is seen backing a politician, it is because she is "looking for something to put food on her table." Oshodi-Oke also shared her experience of spending up to N800,000 monthly on medication due to a serious illness, crediting God, Lagos political figure MC Oluomo, and her colleagues for their support during this challenging time.

She specifically mentioned fellow actress Sotayo, who reached out with financial assistance of N150,000 despite their long-standing lack of communication due to a past disagreement. Although grateful for the support, Oshodi-Oke noted that they still avoid each other at public events.
