Ighalo Wanted Osimhen at Al-Hilal; Hull's Ajayi Injury Update

Odion Ighalo, a former Nigerian international, indicated his preference for Victor Osimhen to have joined Al-Hilal rather than moving to Turkey last summer. Osimhen, who attracted interest from several European clubs, was the subject of a reported €70 million bid from Al-Hilal, but Napoli ultimately rejected the offer.

Ighalo criticized Osimhen's decision to move to Galatasaray instead. In a separate development, Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic provided a positive update regarding Semi Ajayi's injury.

Ajayi has been sidelined for the last six matches after sustaining an injury during Nigeria's third-place clash against Egypt in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Ajayi, who joined Hull City on a free transfer from West Bromwich Albion, has made 12 league appearances this season, scoring once.
