Akpabio advises ministerial nominee to ignore Trump comments during Senate screening

During a Senate screening, Godswill Akpabio cautioned Kingsley Udeh, a ministerial nominee, against responding to questions about recent comments made by US President Donald Trump about Nigeria. Udeh, a senior advocate and the current Attorney General of Enugu State, was nominated by President Bola Tinubu to replace Uche Nnaji.

Akpabio urged Udeh to ignore the Trump topic and not engage in discussing Trump's remarks. The incident drew mixed reactions from lawmakers.

Earlier in the week, Akpabio had declined to comment on Trump's remarks during a plenary session.
