Abuja Commercial Building Collapses After Being Sealed

On September 8, a commercial building in Abuja's Wuse Zone 4 collapsed at approximately 8:00 p.m., just hours after the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) sealed the property, citing safety concerns and ordering occupants to vacate. The incident caused panic among residents, traders, and passersby as the structure crumbled.

Emergency responders, including personnel from the Federal Fire Service and the FCT Emergency Management Department, quickly arrived to search for potential victims trapped under the debris. Three ambulances were stationed at the site for immediate medical assistance and victim evacuation.

Security operatives cordoned off the area to facilitate rescue operations. As of the latest updates, authorities had not confirmed any casualties or fatalities, as rescue efforts continued.
