IGP Olatunji Disu Promotes 17,952 Officers in Nigeria

The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has approved the promotion of 17,952 junior officers within the Nigeria Police Force. This promotion includes 165 officers elevated to the rank of sergeant, 73 to the rank of corporal, and 17,714 to the rank of constable.

The announcement was made through a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Placid. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve personnel welfare, boost morale, and recognize officers who demonstrate diligence and professional dedication to their duties.

Inspector General Disu emphasized that promotions are a vital component of the Force's human resource management strategy and serve as an important tool to motivate officers. He urged the newly promoted officers to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force and to continue performing their duties with integrity and respect for human rights.
