IGP Disu Decorates 30 Senior Officers in Nigeria Police

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Disu recently decorated 13 Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and 17 Commissioners of Police (CPs) during a ceremony held at the Peacekeeping Hall of the Nigeria Police Force headquarters. This event followed the promotion of 84 senior officers across various ranks, which included 54 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs).

IGP Disu highlighted that the promotions were based on merit, discipline, and professionalism, aiming to strengthen leadership within the police force. He urged the newly decorated officers to demonstrate exemplary leadership and maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline, corruption, and dereliction of duty.

Disu reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to be people-oriented, respect human rights, and engage with the community. Additionally, he announced that the newly promoted AIGs would participate in a strategic leadership retreat organized in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aimed at transforming leadership and modernizing police ethics among senior officers.
