IGP Disu Restructures Nigeria Police with New Deployments

On Tuesday, a press statement from the Nigeria Police Force's Public Relations Office, issued by DCP Anthony Placid, announced that the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has ordered the deployment of several Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various strategic positions across Nigeria. This move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance leadership capacity, and improve service delivery nationwide.

The list of deployed officers includes AIGs such as Ado Emmanuel to the Research and Planning Force Headquarters in Abuja, Joseph Eribo to the Armament Force Headquarters in Abuja, and Miller Dantaway to the Operations Force Headquarters in Abuja, among others. Additionally, several CPs have been assigned to different state commands and units, including Haruna Alaba Yahaya to Jigawa State Command and Betti Enekpen to the Welfare Force Headquarters in Abuja.

This restructuring aims to effect command structure and strategically deploy personnel across the Nigeria Police Force.
