IGP Disu Collaborates with NIPR to Boost Public Trust

On Tuesday, Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu received a delegation from the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), led by President Dr. Ike Neliaku, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. The NIPR President praised the IGP's professional achievements and informed him about Nigeria's upcoming hosting of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum and Africa Charter Forum at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, which is expected to attract over 3,000 delegates from 126 countries.

The delegation requested support from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for security during the Forum and invited the IGP to be a keynote speaker. IGP Disu highlighted the shared responsibility of the NPF and NIPR in building public confidence through professionalism and effective communication.

He reiterated the NPF's commitment to a service-oriented policing culture and called for NIPR's assistance in providing specialized communication training for police personnel. The delegation included notable members such as Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan and Chief Uzoma Oyegbadu, among others.
