IGP Tunji Disu Attends Funeral for Slain Officers in Zamfara

On Tuesday, IGP Tunji Disu visited Zamfara State to attend the funeral prayers for three police officers who were killed in the line of duty by bandits. During the visit, he joined the families of the deceased at the Salat al-Janazah held in their honor.

Disu also visited the Zamfara Police Command, where he commiserated with the officers and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's (NPF) commitment to tackling banditry and violent crime in the state. He described the slain officers as courageous individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in confronting criminal elements.

Disu conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased officers and emphasized that their sacrifices would not be forgotten. He urged the police personnel to remain focused and resilient in their duties, stressing the importance of ongoing operations against banditry and kidnapping.

Disu commended the command for recent operational successes, including the arrest of criminal suspects and the rescue of kidnap victims, and assured continued efforts to improve operational capacity and welfare.
