IGP Rilwanu Disu Urges Police to Confront Terrorists

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Rilwanu Disu, addressed police officers in Gusau, Zamfara State, during a funeral prayer for four officers who died in a bombing incident.

He emphasized the need for a proactive approach in combating terrorism, instructing officers to go on the offensive against terrorists instead of waiting for attacks. Disu stated that the police and sister security agencies would not leave any stone unturned in their efforts to end the insecurity plaguing the nation.

He mentioned that the federal government is committed to addressing security issues and is determined to eradicate banditry across the country. Disu's remarks come at a time when the police force is under pressure to enhance security measures and protect citizens from terrorist threats.
