Inspector-General Disu Enhances Police Welfare with Buses

Olatunji Rilwan Disu, who serves as the 23rd indigenous Inspector-General of Police, has introduced a welfare initiative aimed at improving the conditions for police personnel. This initiative includes the provision of free transportation to and from work through newly acquired luxurious buses.

Prior to this reform, many police officers faced difficulties finding affordable transportation home after long hours of duty, often waiting by the roadside in exhaustion. Disu, having observed these struggles firsthand while serving as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Special Protection Unit, recognized the need for change.

His direct view of the officers' daily challenges motivated him to promise improvements if given the opportunity to lead the Force. The introduction of these buses has notably decreased the number of officers waiting for transport, showcasing Disu's commitment to enhancing the welfare of police personnel.
