IGP Visits Edo Governor to Enhance Security Collaboration

On Friday, the Inspector General of Police visited the Edo State Government House in Benin City, where he met with Governor Okpebholo to discuss strengthening security collaboration to improve public safety across the state. During the meeting, the Inspector General reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the state government, traditional rulers, civil society organizations, and local communities to address emerging security threats through an intelligence-driven community policing approach.

He acknowledged the ongoing partnership among stakeholders as essential for effective policing and emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between the police and government institutions. Governor Okpebholo praised the Inspector General for ongoing reforms within the police force, particularly initiatives focused on professionalism and operational efficiency.
