IGP Disu Visits Edo Governor to Enhance Security Ties

On Friday, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu visited the Edo State Government House in Benin City to engage in strategic discussions with Governor Mondai Okpebholo. The focus of the meeting was to strengthen security cooperation and enhance community safety across the state.

During the visit, IGP Disu reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to deepening collaboration with state governments and traditional institutions, as well as civil society groups and local communities, to address emerging security challenges. He emphasized the importance of sustainable partnerships among stakeholders to effectively respond to security needs.

Governor Okpebholo praised the Inspector General for ongoing reforms within the Nigeria Police Force, particularly initiatives aimed at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and operational efficiency. The governor reiterated the state government's continued support for security agencies and stressed the need for sustained peace and safety through strong institutional collaboration.
