Falconets Urged to Defeat Korea Republic in Friendly

Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, the Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, has encouraged the Nigeria U20 women’s team, known as the Falconets, to strive for victory against their Korea Republic counterparts in a friendly match scheduled for Tuesday, 1 September. This match follows the Falconets' recent success against Poland, where Mary Mamudu scored in first-half stoppage time, leading to a win at the Municipal Stadium in Brzeg.

Ikpeme expressed pride in the team's performance against Poland and emphasized that another victory against Korea Republic would help maintain their winning mentality as they prepare for the group phase of the World Cup. The Falconets are set to compete in Group F alongside Spain, China PR, and New Caledonia, with their first group match against Spain on Monday, 7 September, followed by games against China on 10 September and New Caledonia on 13 September.
