Umo Eno Declines to Criticize Predecessor Udom Emmanuel

During a media briefing on Saturday at the Government House banquet hall in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Governor Umo Eno affirmed that he would not criticize his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel. Eno acknowledged Emmanuel's significant role in his electoral victory in 2023, stating that Emmanuel was brave and single-handedly ensured his success.

He expressed that he would not join those who speak negatively about past leaders, emphasizing that he is not a "good politician" if he were to do so. Eno addressed ongoing infrastructure issues, threatening to terminate contracts for non-performance to prevent waste of government funds.

He mentioned several strategic road projects, including the dualization of Ring Road III and the reconstruction of Ikot Akpaden-Iko Road. Furthermore, Eno promised to establish a committee, including journalists and civil society organizations, to monitor potholes and improve power supply, urging the public to be patient as the government implements a framework for steady power supply.
