Adebayo Criticizes Wike's Communication Style in Interview

Adewole Adebayo, the 2027 presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), made a controversial statement regarding Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). During an interview with Symfoni TV, Adebayo remarked that he would put sellotape over Wike's mouth if he were to appoint him to his administration.

Despite this, Adebayo acknowledged Wike's strong work ethic and contributions to infrastructure development in the FCT, noting that previous ministers had achieved less. He asserted that if state commissioners of works matched Wike's output, Nigeria would see significant improvements in infrastructure.

Adebayo did express concerns about the potential inflation of contracts awarded under Wike and the lack of value for money, yet he emphasized the visible progress in daily life and travel ease due to ongoing projects. Ultimately, Adebayo labeled Wike as a “bad example for Nigerian politics” due to his approach to force and state power.
