Sowore Vows to Reverse Naming of Facilities After Tinubu

Omoyele Sowore, the president of the African Action Congress, announced his intention to reverse the naming of public facilities after Bola Ahmed Tinubu if he is elected president in 2027. This declaration was made on Friday via his Facebook page in response to the federal government's recent decision to rename the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway after Tinubu.

The announcement was made by the Minister of Works, David Umahi, during a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday. Umahi stated that the renaming was in recognition of Tinubu's long-standing vision for the project.

The Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is a significant infrastructure project, with plans to extend it to 700 kilometers and reconstruct sections of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Sowore criticized Tinubu's administration, claiming it has impoverished Nigeria and led to its decline, emphasizing the urgency of reversing the naming decision as part of his proposed 2027 administration.
