Uba Sani Backs Tinubu, Predicts 70-80% Votes in Kaduna

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, stated his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declined to discuss the influence of former governors Nasir El-Rufai, Ahmed Makarfi, and Namadi Sambo in the context of the upcoming 2027 presidential election. In an interview on Channels Television, Sani expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu could achieve between 70 and 80 percent of the votes in Kaduna State, countering claims of a northern voter backlash against Tinubu.

He attributed such perceptions to political narratives rather than actual sentiments. Sani emphasized that the political landscape in Kaduna has shifted since the 2023 election, particularly with the influx of politicians from opposition parties into the APC.

He stressed the importance of grassroots campaigning, stating that effective political engagement must extend beyond Abuja to the thousands of wards across the country.
