Glasner Praises Aina After Forest's Win Over Aston Villa
Oliver Glasner, the manager of Nottingham Forest, expressed pride in Super Eagles defender Ola Aina following the club's 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park. Aina played as the left-sided centre-back in a back three formation, a position he was deployed in due to injuries to both of the club's recognized central defenders just before the match.
Glasner revealed that he approached Aina and defender Ousmane Diomande to inform them of the tactical change, specifically asking Aina if he could adapt to the new role. Aina confirmed he could, leading to a commendable performance where he recorded three tackles, one interception, four clearances, and two recoveries.
This victory marked Nottingham Forest's first Premier League win of the season under Glasner, who is keen to build on this momentum moving forward.
