Ola Aina, a defender for Nottingham Forest, was humorously tasked with washing his teammates' boots after a defeat in a training match, a forfeit that was widely shared on social media. Aina posted a clip of himself cleaning the boots, highlighting a comedic aspect of his personality.

Notably, he left Liam Delap's boots untouched, arguing that Delap was also part of the losing team, while Chris Wood's boots were cleaned. This incident further established Aina as a lively figure within the Nottingham Forest dressing room.

Off the pitch, Aina has been adjusting to life at the club following the departure of his fellow Super Eagles teammate Taiwo Awoniyi. Aina acknowledged the void left by Awoniyi, stating, “Yeah, I'm alone now,” but expressed happiness for Awoniyi.

Aina also mentioned reaching out to Awoniyi privately after the transfer. He is expected to return to the Super Eagles for the first time in nearly a year after being sidelined due to an injury sustained in September 2025.
